True i had my fair share of pvp. However if u see my char is rank 13… in other words i have pvped more than u will ever pvp in two lifes of urs untill u conclude what is balanced and what is broken and from experience over the matter i can tell you, pvp wont fix with a fresh realm, i cant see how some1 who keeps losing will turn the table into only winning if he simply change realm. Pointing out that classic is broken pvpwise (not that it was ever balance) and will get balanced or better with a fresh is nothin but a delusion… And if u dont belive that ask all Ex-SoM players about “copium” and y will get a brief detail of how nightmare a fresh realm pvp can be… B4 asking for a fresh and before ingoring ppls opinion that been through this way before u been on good or bad times of the subject, u should perhaps think how era can get better rather tearing apart for a smooth bg win. As for

There is 2 options and soon 3… tbc/woltk/retail. If u think this game is not of your taste coz of faction locked classes, isnt games fault… its ur fault playing it ^^

you dont have to worry about me. i will simply quit when it is no longer fun. The thread is for ppl who think about making a char to pvp with in ERA. I have a firm opinion, rooted in actual PVP playing with Phase 6 - not R13 rushing in phase 2 - and it is that it sucks. Unless you have a decent SoM char, dont do it.

so i would support a fresh server and i would join it. The high time of BGs is before AQ imo

You will have three options, but not the three you think. We’ll have Era, WotLK Classic or Retail. Take your pick.
TBCC servers will all progress to Wrath Classic on prepatch.

Yes I tried playing in classic era server - everyone is in Naxx gear. You join a raid as a tourist. The raid just oneshots every boss and you might be given a free loot.

Leveling is OK. Other than that, this is not a normal raiding experience.

PVP is also absurd. Naxx gear means that people one-shot you.

Thats what happens when there is a serius raid leadership and raid members performing as intended.

There is still guilds that try to clear Naxx u can join those and contribute to the effort.

Hm, makes no sense u said you are given free loot, meaning u can one shot aswell, so you are even, also i see ppl complain about naxx this naxx that. Well go farm it then and gear up! "Raids are easy but no cant farm naxx gear and i lose to geared ppl - even if

I would not hold my breath for any of them, but I would say Era was the most fun option :wink:
I don’t know what server Lashab tried playing on, it does not much look like the world I see there.

Would not be fun, as without the “copying” of the servers as they are now, we’re going th start from level 1 again. It would be SoTBCC Not TBCC Era.

I’ll give you my opinion on What Blizzard should do:

Consolidate all the current realms onto one of each PvE, PvP, RP-PvE and RP-PvP.

Then open one of each new realms, ban GDKP, permaban gold sellers and buyers and be aggressive on finding and banning bots.

Wont happen, also can any1 be 100% certain that those gold sellers/bots have no association with activision? Would be odd if those “gold sellers” is a sideway income for activision, how we even know they are not behind that too?

plenty of one shotting/two shotting even in earlier phases. that’s just how the burst heavy vanilla pvp works.

and how exactly is that different from like p3 or p4 raiding? I mean outside of like the bottom 10% of raiders, everything was very smooth sailing after like the second ID.

what you describe is pretty much how classic played in 2020 and not exactly era specific issues

Ive played a decent amount of bgs on both SOM and classic era as it is now so a few thoughts from my perspective.

Fresh brings the bonus of low level bgs, one of the most enjoyable parts of som was playing the 19, 29, 39, 49 bgs while leveling up. Each have their own quirks and style of play, this is sadly lost in era where the population doesnt support them, I know a bunch of people that only played som to run the low level bgs. That said ultimatley level 60 is where its at due to full move set and extra choice in gearing and build.

AV is much more active on fresh/ seasonal not just because of larger pop but because more people need the rep gear and mount. I think era probably has population for AV, as we see at the bonus weekend, but the player base doesnt really have an appetite for it as they arent getting rewarded. AV ended up being great on Som with the extra npcs and was popping almost 24 /7 for months while era was eeking out a few wsg games a night.

BGs are a lot more accessible for newer characters on fresh servers before the power creep sets in, the difference between fresh 60 and T3 Nax chad is huge so the prospect of gearing up through bgs for a fresh 60 must be pretty daunting. That said r10 is still pretty viable for most classes and isnt too hard to get atm obviously you have to accept youre not going to be able to 1v1 everyone on the map but that can be part of the fun, learning who to avoid and having to play with the pack around your teammates.

I mean how are SoM AVs? if it’s like 2020 classic AVs it might aswell not be open at all.
I did my rank12 solo in p3/p4 mostly via AV (soloque AV was still mostly better hph in special during wed-fr - because of the 80% premade farming in WSG and AB - and it was absolutely dreadfull exerpience.

just because something is technically open or active doesn’t mean it’s good whatsoever.

You must be a terrible person.

Apart from Naxx, there is no challenge anywhere. Yes, you contribute by clicking your spells, but bosses die in 3 times less time than usual if you were in a fresh 60 guild.

Obviously MC is still easy as fresh 60 because of 1.12 talents, but add to that naxx gear and you can literally 10 men MC, even less I guess. Everyone else is a tourist.

For a fresh player, it’s still bad, because you have to wait at least a month to be able to compete in BG-s. And considering only Naxx and PVP are relevant on era servers, you end up doing nothing of value for 1 month at least.
