Obtaining rend is easy to get.
The problem is getting the buff to drop is becoming harder and harder with horde becoming a dead faction with the fresh servers taking many players interest. Alliance has a symbiotic relationship with horde because of Rend.
2 subs is nice for Blizzard yes, but 1 is also better than zero.
There is reasone why it was horde blessing. Game is not communism to have all equal rights. Like they dont have best racials for pve, so they got blessing. Simple as that.
Completly wrong. When they by ‘‘mistake’’ released Alliance rend version. Too many people were agaist it even on Alliance side. We had even petitions going on.
Now all your statistics are goign wrong way. Because current at least on Alliance is Alliance 60-40 ratio favourable because of PVE. We dont need more Alliance pvers. We need more horde pvers to balance ratio. Alliance verions of blessing would make it like no reason to roll Horde except for pvp.
Who stick around? GDKP goldbuyers? 50% homale warriors in raids?
The same ‘‘community’’ approach shifted retail directions into what it is since wotlk.
If any change make any sense is to remove rend to be reachable for Alliance. Nor any similar solution of blessing. So we dont have to make those empty discussions. End of story. Alliance doesnt need rend mechanic wise.
Alliance doesnt need any more warriors in raids already too many of them hitting hights in end game raiding without competion. They basically competite with tthemself sad story of metagaming.
Alliance doesnt need more Alliance than horde needs more PVE raiders. Solution is remove abilty for Alliance to gain rend and dont give them any other substitution for it.
Problem solved. None will be forced to catch that buff for Alliance and game will be more faction balanced for pve.
I do understand that high end raiding in Vanilla, as a warrior and fully buffed, is a ton of fun.
Do you know how many warriors got to enjoy that during original Vanilla? Not many. And during the Classic re-release? Also not many, since the population in 90%+ of serves dwindled once KT was on farm, and TBC was then released.
The truth is that Era has provided you guys with the, by far, longest streak of that type fun you have ever enjoyed. No other Vanilla experience compares. No other server has provided the longevity Era has.
And instead of valuing this, there are people here almost “threatening” Era will be dead if this end of the bargain is not met.
You guys are not interested in a thriving Era community, since I see you in ZERO posts praising Era, promoting it, or defending it against the constant attacks and misconceptions from others.
Therefore, ZERO sympathy from my side. No changes should remain. Stop the whining and if you wanna quit, please go ahead.
Because it’s already been done and conquered countless times unbuffed.
People like to have fun playing with buffs that give them 50%+ critrate when fully combined that turns them into a dps powerhouse.
Idk why this is so hard for worldbuff haters to piece together.
I play ERA every day. Hopefully Blizzard will ban goldbuyers and goldsellers and never listen to people who hate Vanilla the most close design. The design we all came to play and paid for when clone service was up.
We dindt pay clone service to play clown clone of retail.
Man, forgive me for being blunt, but what were you smoking? The Horde having the Warchief’s Blessing is purely because that’s what the designers randomly decided over 20 years ago. Balance wasn’t even a consideration back then!
This was created in an era when nobody had a clue that world buffs could be useful in raids, let alone how abilities like Salvation, Kings, and Human racials would eventually outshine Windfury, other Shaman abilities and even Horde racials.
Let’s put it plainly: the only reason WCB is Horde-only is because, two decades ago, it was essentially the result of a dice roll.
In this thread, I haven’t seen a single compelling argument for keeping it this way, aside from “Because status quo, lol!”.
The “meta classes” (Warrior, Mage, Rogue) tear everything to pieces without world buffs too, they can get more than enough power from gear+ enchants+ elixirs.
I appreciate your perspective and the time you’ve taken to share your thoughts. While I understand where you’re coming from, I feel that your stance might unintentionally come across as centered on your personal preferences rather than considering the broader spectrum of players and playstyles. Of course, no hard feelings—I truly believe this isn’t deliberate and that we all ultimately want the game to be enjoyable for everyone.
You mentioned in an earlier post that what meta-gamers or GDKP players do impacts other players. And you’re absolutely right—it does. But this is also true in reverse: casual players influence meta-gamers in various ways as well. The interaction between different playstyles is inevitable in any gaming community.
So, where does the real difference lie between the perspective you’re advocating for and the one many of us hold? As players who enjoy optimized gaming and competitive ladder play, our request is quite simple: we want buffs and other gameplay aspects to be less tedious to obtain, enabling us to enjoy the game with like-minded players who share our playstyle. This is not about forcing casual players to adopt our way of playing; it’s about creating space for everyone to enjoy the game in their own preferred way.
On the other hand, the stance you seem to be advocating for feels like asking Blizzard to make it deliberately difficult—or even impossible—for us to play the way we enjoy, simply because it doesn’t align with your own preferences. While I can understand why you might feel this way, I hope you can see how this approach might feel exclusionary to those of us who enjoy a more competitive or optimized playstyle.
Ultimately, all we’re asking for is balance—space for all players to coexist and thrive in the game, whether their focus is casual fun or competitive excellence. I hope this helps clarify our position.
everyone enjoys a game in a different way. I am very competitively driven, I want to do my best and I want to achieve the best and use all available resources to do so. In the end, that makes me enjoy the game. I am at the moment also leveling a hunter and a warlock on classic era, does this mean I want to perform less cause they are not the meta? No I want to get 99+ parses on both of them, while not messing up tactics ofc.
I am also not logging in for just world buffs → log out → login for raid and do that over and over again.
I enjoy socializing with friends, doing random stupid stuff. Exploring or goofing around or help people out.
The game isn’t meant to be how it is now. They didn’t had a big final goal in mind when they first created WoW. Man so many things has changed back then and even now. There quite few changes to classic era that wasn’t there 20 years ago.
It’s development with time, experience and datamining.
Yes, I do dislike the world buffs situation regarding that you skip complete mechanics of the boss fight. But then again, I join an casual raiding guild that started progressing naxx since a week ago. I enjoy a lot there as well with an alt that’s equally geared as them ( maybe slightly better… but barely ). Just to enjoy the vibe, the raid they organize, the community. They even bring in Feral druids and shadow priests XD. But that’s their guild their rules and everything. Which is good.
But does that mean, they shouldn’t have an easier access to an extra world buff? To help them out a bit more, Rend in this case? They are progressing, man we used 10mins of world buffs and we lost it XD. So world buffs aren’t utilized as good, but we have a blast. For that one boss we used world buffs at, yeah we enjoyed we saw the boss go down quickly! Before and after that normal killings.
They definitely don’t demand Rend, I believe only 5 ish people from the raid had rend. But if Might of Stormwind might be available again, it’s a bigger chance a lot more people get it and maybe helps out. Don’t have to go out of your way much to get it either. Them seeing higher numbers, doing more damage, enjoying the raid together. Yeah it’s completely different and I enjoy both worlds! =D
And thats why Alliance ‘‘meta classes’’ should not have acess to it. Simple enough they are already metaclass at p6 endgame. You surely dont wanna them being more powertripping and dopamine thrilling than they already are.
