Actually my friend, whining on the forums got the world buff crowd their chronoboon. It appears to be THE way to change things.
30-40-year-old balding children needing self-valuation⌠Did you quit your basic job to treat Classic âseriouslyâ?
You are corpse camping grey level players, you are killing quest NPCs and you are probably doing way more vs players that canât respond to your actions even. If you get a permaban nobody will care or miss you and I hope you will be mass-reported day by day.
Being a sociopath is not a part of any MMO really. Shall we recall âGrizzly from redditâ guild that was denied scarab lords even by their own faction?
And a fun fact - your actions are bannable on pretty much every sweatlord PvP private server
You are getting dishonorable kills and as such you should be long expelled from Alliance and from Paladin order and your powers stripped Just that game engine limitations⌠(this isnât Baldurs Gate sadlyâŚ)
IMHO with this topic you will just get more reports because you will be even more recognizable and even more despised. And thatâs good
Thanks that really just proves my points about the modern WoW community.
Im a sociopath for enjoying this faction war themed MMORPG now. What do you call people who beat you in card or board games?
Who cares? I dont play on private servers.
That happened long ago and voluntarily.
Thats really good! The more it happens, the faster the GM response to my tickets will be, and the faster my falsely applied penalties will be lifted. Should that even occur, which it hasnt in a while.
You should band together with Deveon, form a guild and call it âEvil and dumbâ
Itâs not limited to WoW. You would be treated like this in every similar game.
I would guess this is the first reason we see that on classic servers. People want to PVP, but when they do, they want it to be somewhat balanced. What killed the balance on PVP realm is exactly what the OP is doing, griefing the experience by pushing it too far, making the victim of griefing want to leave the game or the server, which finally happens on the first free server transfer.
Thereâs a massive difference between getting killed once or twice by a guy who happens to quest in the same area than you, and for a HL player to come and intentionnally and repeatedly kill lowbies because he has nothing better to do of his life than being an awful piece of chit to others.
When the obvious solution is to log out and do something else, it probably became toxic behavior 2 or 3 kill prior.
Griefing isnt real.
Disruption / Harassment: Engage in any conduct intended to disrupt or diminish the game experience for other players, or disrupt operation of Blizzardâs Platform in any way, including:
Harassment, âgriefing,â abusive behavior or chat, conduct intended to unreasonably undermine or disrupt the Game experiences of others, deliberate inactivity or disconnecting, and/or any other activity which violates Blizzardâs Codes of Conduct or In-Game Policies.
IF you search with Ctrl-F Griefing, youâll find it very fast.
Have you also found the caveat for PvP realms?
Edit: I found it for you.
The Game Master staff will not intervene in Player versus Player (PvP) disputes.
If you chose to create your character on a PvP realm, Game Masters will not address situations where you are repeatedly killed by the opposite faction. This includes situations that may be considered dishonorable such as corpse camping or killing players well below your level.
and since humans are violent by nature
WPvP isnât fair or balanced. You can attack someone at 1% of their HP or be a stronger class or have more levels or be more people vs less⌠People donât want PvP for PvP, they want PvP to win, and if they donât win they try to win by making a mono faction realms or using tools such as reporting
Obnoxious gankers can be found in any PvP realm. They were on private server and they are on Classic. Most of them are 30-40 years old men without any life accomplishments or just sociopaths that can achieve anything only in a 20-year-old game if they are given massive handicaps.
And all those level-20 that he ganks should either call a level 60 hit squad or if itâs not possible just move to PvE realms. Blizzard isnât going to do anything about grown men pouring their frustration (there is a reason âWoW playerbaseâ has a bad reputation) and connected realms wonât become monofaction. False perception of PvP realms being âbetterâ, âmore proâ is now feeding those gankers and maybe teaching people a lesson
A lot of players choose to play on PVP realms but donât want to lose when PVP actually happens.
Thatâs why they made the PVP realms in Wrath Classic mono-faction.
Someone killed you and is standing on your corpse. I donât play on Era but it happened on Wrath. And what I did? My ghost was also standing. After few minutes the other guy lost interest and went away. What if he stayed? I can just go and play another character or Dragonflight.
Someone killed the NPC and I cannot turn in my quest. Is this the only quest in the entire game?
Ask your guild for help. For sure some geared level 60 is bored.
In order to not to be completely off-topec I would say that some players after they lose on PVP canât be bothered to do anything else and just click on report.
We just had a player banned on EU for mind controlling people into the Darkshire chimney, all while they could hearthstone or simply jump out.
The crybully cancel cult even has members on this forum and in this very thread openly condoning/calling for the false reporting of individuals.
It is crazy how these people are allowed to alter and kill Classic when they could just be playing the very result of that: Retail WoW.
Its not false reporting if youâre a bad sport corpsecamping lowbies.
You signed the social contract, you can expect consequences.
If youâre just killing a bunch of quest npcs and move on after its part of 2 factions. If you do it over and over again its personal.
Not sure how it was in vanilla but during bc and wotlk we just popped a few lowbies cleared a village and we waited nearby for the horde max levels/mains to show up for a brawl until one side retreated. Thats world pvp
I agree with this, and I forgot the social contract tbh.
Like I said on his other thread about âthere is no such thing as griefingâ, thereâs a line between pvp and griefing. Making sure another player canât even play the game is griefing.
He mentioned MCâing a player off the boat, yeah thatâs funny and is something I would do too. Itâs pvp on a pvp server. Targetting the same player for days and even weeks on end, or killing that one NPC people need over and over is over the line.
Theres GM responses and Blizzard posts in this very thread that simply prove your statement WRONG!
Objectively wrong! I am perfectly free to corpse camp low level players.
The GM himself told me this:
âIn general, PVP on PVP servers is allowed in all forms. Nothing will happen to you if you are simply killing low level players, they would be expected to find a solution like getting high level players come fight back ETC. As long as you are not using any exploitative means you should be fine.â
And thank goodness for that! Thats what Classic is all about. You people just dont get it into your heads. I do not understand why you insist on altering Classic, when you could play the game that has seen the alterations: Retail WoW, or the crappy TBC/WotLK âexpansionsâ.
Your classic experience may not be the experience the majority want.
A bad sports shard would solve everyoneâs problem,if you bother enough people to report you, youâll be with like minded bad sports for a bit and the others can play the game they paid for.
âMy Classic experienceâ is Classic.
There is no such thing as a bad sport in a game about warring factions you insano.
The factions are supposed to keep each other down.
Is someone who beats you at chess a bad sport now too?
That analogy would be accurate if the enemies you beat used the same equipment as you do, as is the case in chess.
We start in the same character selection screen and the playground is the same.
These people just dont want to play Classic. They follow streamers because its the popular thing and then try to alter it.
None of the problems they list are real to me. And i play this game alot. When an alliance player shuts the Hillsbrad fields down, i quest in Ashenvale, its really that simple.
They just dont want to play Classic.
You start at the same character selection screen, but not at the same time.
Using the chess match analogy, by the time your opponent gets to make his first move, you already made 30. Not really a good sport, is it.
