[PCU] [H-RP] The Aparoshe Stampede: United Tauren MIGHT! [Recruiting!]

It is now that we can say our borders are as safe as they’ve been in months, but even now, enemies still encroach on us. Alliance who consider the armistice a suggestion. Quilboar, centaur and harpies that dare to ravage our caravans and our civilians. It’s important to not only be willing to protect what is yours, but to be part of what you defend. We must honour our ways and bolster our identity as a people, from Mulgore to Highmountain to the Taunka of Northrend further still.

The Aparoshe Stampede has fought and bled for their lands and the Horde many times over. Now it is time we embrace who we are as Shu’halo. A wise chieftain does not seek war after all, but must always be ready for it. We cannot sit idle and do nothing. It’s simply not enough to do nothing any more. We must be better than those that do so, and show that even without our leadership that we aren’t a force to be taken lightly.

With banners held high planted in our ancestral soil, giving shade all Tauren of all Tribes. With the sound of our hooves battering the ground and the warcry of Lakota Mani! howling through the air in defiance, we stand together. Brothers and sisters of the Aparoshe Stampede, defenders of Mulgore and the Earth Mother.

Peace must be earned!

Guild Information?

Under the Elder Sakem Sabelon Bleakfury, the Aparoshe Stampede was made to foster Tauren interests and act as defenders and successors of their people. Named after Apa’ro, the White Stag for his nature as a defender of the lands, as the Aparoshe in honour of his myth. Named after a stampede, an unstoppable motion of force that tramples over their enemies. Dynamic and forward, an inevitable conclusion.

Though few in numbers, the Aparoshe have a strong sense of brotherhood and community within the Horde. They work and fight with other warbands and groups as part of the fierce Saurfang Legion, and have never been seen to back down or be unwilling to lend aid, even if it means travelling to one end of Azeroth to another. They however focus on their people first and foremost, and want to engage and celebrate in the many traditions and rites of the Tauren, a communion of all Tribes for the greater good of the Shu’halo, of all walks of life.

They have never turned away one with the fire and those that have stayed with them have found a deep sense of kinship for each other. The Stampede works on a foundation of a solid core of Tauren who can mobilise quickly, lending their inhuman strength and deep spirituality. They lead a monthly hunt followed by a market to sell what isn’t used by them, patrol the lands. They speak with the ancestors to help with the issues of the spirit realms, and to revere the ancestors that give them wisdom. They answer the call for allies, proving their honour time and time again.

They are Aparoshe, and you can be too.

OOC Goals?

Sup, gamers. First and foremost, The Aparoshe Stampede is a PCU guild. Use your judgement accordingly with this one. We regularly do events and chill/social RP with them, but this isn’t exclusionary of other non-PCU roleplay. Just to get that out of the way because it’s apparently a hot topic. If you don’t like the PCU, then that’s that. If you want to find out why guilds want to be apart of them, you’re more than welcome to find out.

The main theme of the Guild is, simply, a Tauren warband and exploring all aspects of it. Most people are willing to fight and those of a belligerent nature can find a good home here with that, as we have no shortage of enemies. Tauren have a deep, cultural aspect to them that we explore, from the monthly hunt/market cycle we have to various events around the spirits, healing and cleansing the lands, and patrolling/protecting the borders. Events run several times a week and focus on smaller numbers, ideal and perfect to focus on individual character growth.

As part of a large community, the PCU, cross-guild events and RP-PvP happen regularly. Even without our own events there’s no shortage of roleplay, from a ‘hoof on the ground’ approach in Mulgore to further places away, with unusual allies and even more unusual enemies. As honourable allies within the Horde, we may do diplomatic endeavours, but that should never make us shy from acting when needed, pre-emptively so.

All Tauren of all kinds are accepted as long as they’re Horde loyal. Taunka are accepted, Yaunhol are not. Death Knights are also accepted (because Grimtotem have always worked with the Undead) but under the caveat that you’re there for a legitimate reason that makes sense. No Tauren tribe is inherently refused on that basis alone, but we’d advise if you play only a ‘gentle giant’, then you might not enjoy the various battle events we have. Decent level of English required. New players are totally fine, so long as you’re willing to grow and learn.

We join and run several events a week, solo and with other guilds, joining the guild implies you want to attend these events and be active. Of course, IRL always comes first so if there’s a decent reason why you can’t join up, then just let us at Upper Management™ know. We want an active, solid core of members to show off some Tauren pride!

Hierarchy

Our ranks have a system of rites for progression based on worship of Arikara, the spirit of vengeance, where trophies of battle and victory over strong enemies defeated, help you ascend the ranks. All new members are Younghoofs until they undergo the Rite of the Nemesis to become a Bull, a blood oath to Arikara requiring a trophy of battle and a small sacrifice. Rites become personal from then on, and how you want your character to grow will change how you progress to either a Warbrave or a Mystic, functionally identical ranks but specifically assigned.

Chiefs serve as the hands and advisors of the Elder Sakem, Sabelon Bleakfury, elevated based on service, duty, and personal prowess in battle. They are hand picked and their Rite of the Chieftain is unique and tailored to how they operate in such a role They will act in his stead should he be needed elsewhere, and will take initiative to lead on excursions or patrols. They are ultimately the officers, plainly speaking.

Gaining ranks OOC is really simple: be active and contribute. It can’t get any easier than just being invested, can it?

Contact?

Getting in touch could not be more simple: PM Sabelon or Kwavu in-game for more info and to join up, or post here. Or something. Come say hi.

Sounds like a great plan. Perhaps now I will finally level a druid. Always like the idea of Tauren I love the native American Indian feel about them though I would have to learn a bit more about the Lore for the race and class.

Thank you, friend! I feel it definitely has a better “brand image.”

The Stampede met with the Tauwahe Tribe to discuss the matter of acquiring mounts for the future. One promise of a basilisk carcass, fully prepared, and the roughwork of a kodo’s barding, and the deal was struck.

Now, they look to march on Dustwallow Marsh.
