I don’t see where the character boost meets his description either tbh.
If they’re talking about the part at 12:45 or so.
If you were to gain naxx gear with your boost / professions to max(300) then I’d understand more.
But your 58 is less powerful than any other normal level 60.
Then you simply can’t understand the English language.
He is saying the exact opposite.
Quoting directly from his video’s description, not out of my backseat:
Pay to win
Pay to advance
Pay for convenienceAre ALL the same thing.
If you can give the game more money to become more powerful or gain advantages, the game is pay to win.
You missed that part with “the more you pay, the more advantage you get” Which is impossible for 1 timed level boost which gives you low character with low gear in comparison to other players.
Jees where did we get from a simple “will you buy a boost” topic …
Going to sleep. Boost is coming, stomach it or not guys. Lead campaign against it, I don´t care. WoW will be here with or without boost and it also will be here with or without me or you so.
He is specifically talking about buying in game currency at that point which is why he gives the example of wow token and states “you can work for 2 hours and buy a token instead of grinding for 20 hours in game to make the same amount of, so someone who plays the game can’t reach the efficiency of someone who doesn’t play the game and works to buy the gold”.
His point is valid for currency exchanges.
For character boosts the transaction or the conversion is not that direct so you can’t correlate your work wage per hour to the advantage you gain directly.
It falls under the “pay for convenience” category he describes, which he explicitly also mentions “xp boost potions or character boosts” near the start of the video.
Are you actually serious? (that sounds meaner than i ment it) Just make another account and boost another proffesionalt.
btw that ONE TIME BOOST THING…
if this is true ( and it looks kinda real ) than its not a ONE TIME THING for that long.
I just cant understand how one char getting boosted to 58 is somehow so bad to tbc classic. Most players are anyway returning players or vets on wow who knows how to play game and done leveling in classic, tbc, cata, mop and so on. Kill 20 harpys quests not going to be harder If you need kill instead 2000 harpys its just slower. For those players this boost option is welcome option to skip old content and start from tbc.
Yea, I’m gonna be farming arenas so I’m going UD for sure.
I’m here for the actual gameplay experience, don’t have to go through the tedious process of leveling once again.
Did you both realised that TBC is not retail ? Iam sure its ovious right ?
So there are reasons for that, makes sense too right?
The cashshop is one big reason. If you want the boost, even its makes for you both on a personal lvl, it will lead to tbc changes to retail in some time. So ultimately you could actually just play retail instead, because it is only a matter of time then, until that change will happen. (This is not to be ment to be offensive)
So what do you want? TBC as a botinfested and economybroken cripple that is limping in the direction of retail or you have to lvl yourself ( 15% les xp needed + new questhubs) and keep that what makes tbc what is was. You cant have both.
If you want to know more:
or you dont care, thats fine too
Yep, but only cause I already have a 60 priest alliance from launch but am joining friends on horde on another server also as a priest, so am thinking of it more as race+server transfer rather than boost
I didnt enjoy classic as much as i thought (played like the final week of vanilla) and i lacked the desire or time to get lvl 60. i did roll a few chars as i kinda enjoyed the early levels and zones, i will be buying it as tbc is my preferred version of the game for me, and to jump straight to the start of it will be perfect, its the game i had most fun in
Yes, ofcourse
Thank you but i will decide for my own what i do or do not like. And i like it with boost.
Pay money to enjoy the game. Why would you put days/weeks into something you do not like?
LOL boost to 58 is not p2w
hey ^^ i dont judge you or something, i just said how it is. We cant have both. Sry for the bad news and hope you having fun in tbc, as long as it may last.
I’m buying the boost as Classic (the 1-60 content) is over. Besides, I’m of the opinion that levelling is just too slow and boring to be worthwhile as I won’t be playing alts so getting to 58 with dungeon blues is going to be great. Can’t wait to play TBC with my guild though.
preepatch maybe help with that (-15% xp neede overall and there a very good and new questhubs) and there will be alot of people that will play. So dungeons will be crazy i can imagine ^^
your opinion… my opnion= everything you can buy outside the game with reallifemoney that give you ANY for form of advantage and lvling in 1 min istead of 4 days is an advantage. You bullsh*tting yourself pretty hard here. So you can say to yourself… hey iam NOT a RMT´er, but you are. Just own it.
That’s pretty much the case, as I’m going to be spending all my time in arenas I don’t care about the leveling experience, I’ve already experienced it multiple times.
I guess I’m not contributing to the issue, but what can I do, just my view.
If we were to talk about adding mounts to the cash shop, that’d be a different issue, that somehow crossed the line for me, adding unique visuals to the game would ruin the immersion too much, just like transmogs do.
Depends how far TBC is from release, because if its like june or july i will ding 60 by that time
hey, sorry wasnt ment to be a direct reply to you, was intended as a reply to the thread
No worrys ^^
I won’t buy the level boost because Blizzard doesn’t deserve to be rewarded with money for being money grubbing cheese doodles.
Also I will not buy a mage boost because boting is bad, and the proboosters can go blue in the face asking " why iz moneyz boozting okay?!" All they want but it will not be the same as the above.
Also I will not buy a boost because just me saying that no doubt made some probooster out there shriek in impotent rage, come on there is defiantly ONE!
