We’re testing some adjustments to underperforming classes that we intend to make with weekly resets (on 13 January in this region).
Classes
Death Knight
Blood
Bone Shield grants armor equal to 70% of Strength (was 50%).
Frost
All damage is increased by an additional 2% while a two-handed weapon is equipped.
Mage
Frost
All damage abilities increased by 9%.
Monk
Windwalker
All damage is increased by an additional 2% while a two-handed weapon is equipped.
Brewmaster
All damage is increased by an additional 2% while a two-handed weapon is equipped.
Rogue
Assassination
All damage abilities increased by 8%.
Warrior
Fury
All damage abilities increased by 8%, except for Bladestorm and Dragon Roar.
Meat Cleaver talent now increases Whirlwind’s damage by 25% (was 30%).
PVP
Players will now drop PvP flags if they activate Podtender (including Temple of Kotmogu orbs).
Note: this fix will be applied to the live game as soon as possible, before the weekly reset.
As always, the changes above (with the exception of the Podtender fix) are a work in progress, and may differ before they go live. We’ll have the final tuning noted in our Hotfixes Update post next week.
Assassination needs you to either remove slice and dice or give us cut to the chase 2.0 improved + focused attacks, so we can have some synergies to the ability. Just like it used to have. Now the spec is just slow and riddled with busywork and almost everything showed into damage over time. Id prefer a Wotlk style assassination over the mess we have now.

You should at least revert the nerf you made 2 weeks before the pre patch and buff more on top of that
Max fury warrior dmg recorded on Sludgefist was 5.5k, max dmg from other specs was 10.5k, with most specs easily doing over 7k. This repeats for almost every boss in Nathria.
Even with a 50-80% buff we still wouldn’t be first, take a second and think about that.
If we get a 8% buff we’ll reach max 6k, still be at the bottom, maybe get closer to Demon Hunters, but still last.
I beg you reconsider this small buff, do a rework or buff rampage by 50%, give us more lifesteal or healing reduction for PVP on bloodthirst, make us viable. This 8% buff will do nothing for Fury warriors in PVP, maybe go from 1400 rating to 1450.
In PVE we’re barely doing more dmg than prot paladins… 8% will do almost nothing aswell.
Monks do 50% more dmg than fury warriors, got better cd’s, healing and healing reduction, this doesn’t make any sense. Seems like it’s over, if this is the last time you’re touching this spec at least do it justice, you managed to put a bandage on a amputee spec.
Even with a 20% dmg increase fury won’t be in top 5 and you can revert it in a heartbeat… why are you scared of touching this spec and fixing it?
Tens of thousands of people that play fury pay for the game the same as every other spec, you’re not an indie company… at least explain us why you’re doing this, and don’t tell us we’ll scale later cause that’s a complete joke… you just lost a dedicated subscriber which considered this expansion a masterpiece.
No. Revert the armor nerf you pulled in BFA. DKs are the most vulnerable when they’re just at the start of a pull because they lack mitigation right then and there and they don’t have time to get RP for death striking. Bone shield giving more armor isn’t going to solve this.
