A thread for discussing the A³ (All Across Azeroth) community and the PCU

I’m definitely a talking head, they got me bang to rights on that one. I don’t exist in game.

… I’m on right now?
Do you even know me right now G?

Those fading into obscurity often cry the loudest, don’t let them get under your skin, Vixi.

Yes, this. It’s still funny to me he’s keeping up his LARP of being the guy from Split, painfully obvious that the blog is just an endless repeat of him submitting content to the blog to make it look like people actually engage with him.

It’s because they’re bullies.

The very things they would froth at the mouth to example as proof of anyone else’s undeniable abusiveness are actually fine from them because they’re telling themselves it’s all from a position of moral righteousness, and so it is impossible for them to cause hurt.
You won’t get an answer because they genuinely can’t see that they’ve done you wrong.

E: Urgh, I wish likes could be removed. We will never be allies, Lilynore.

This must be a tough pill to swallow, the very thing this specimen has obsessed over for the best part of a decade doesnt exist anymore.

Heath Ledger turns into Joachim Phoenix in real time. (if they havent already)

I think comparisons to the joker are too generous, he’s accomplished nothing in the 8+ years, nor in his life.

What began as a petty grudge and an edgy teenager trying to make a ‘ha ha your characters are gay’ post spawned nearly a decade of obsessive monitoring, doctoring and creative writing all in service of what the creator probably thought was the most elaborate and intricate troll they could concoct.

It’s always been nothing more than a lame attempt to attack people, the whole thing about defending marginalised groups or whatever was total bs, as shown by the mask slipping several times over the years.

It’s had about as much effect outside of itself as you can expect, most consider it a source of amusement, I think he knows that and it drives him wild.

It’s just strange for me that 1: people make such an inflexion on their personal sexuality, taking into account even ERP has no place in most guilds; 2: that personal info comes before the RP and character; 3: anyone would care what others prefer in bed and that they will actively ban someone due to it, though I’m aware it unfortunately happens…
Overall I just feel when people start talking sexuality seriously in guilds (what for though), whatever the preference, it tends to carry a socio-politcal stance. It just feels childish to turn your back on someone cause they prefer meat to fish. That’s me though, thus why I thought the question to be totally irrelevant.

Thanks! Is there a link that encapsulates all the guilds / names / threads?

Said it before, but drama blogs; current or extinct (e.g roleplayers lament) are more damaging to the hobby than the vast majority of playground tier spats that happen.

They’re a good litmus test for who to avoid, really. Stop treating some mean girls burn book for nerds as gospel.

Someone saying they have to go because their husband/wife is home or similar is incredibly common. It has something to do with their sexuality and isn’t political.
As you get to become friendlier with people who you share an online space with, they tend to reveal parts of themselves.

While I gave an honest answer because I think it’s important that everyone feels welcomed in a community setting, I must agree. I personally find that this stuff very very rarely comes up, especially with regards to IRL identity. It’s truly a non-issue. Equally, while I think queer characters are completely fine (I literally have multiple), it’s again not really something I find most people give much focus in RP either because ultimately… why would you need to? I wouldn’t talk in detail about either a straight or gay character’s sexuality.

Not all guilds have an active thread here on the forums, but here’s a list of those who do, in no particular order:

Order of Oronaar
Ardent Pursuit
Dustpaw Caravan
Dirge of Teldrassil
Boulderhelm Brigade
Shadowbane Coven
Painted Shields
BOOMTEC
Grim Gest
Chosen of Draenor

Guilds who dont have a thread here:
House Bemoux
Red Venturers
Hand of Conquest
Ronin

No forums for House Bemoux indeed. But everyone is always free to send me a message on discord or ingame if they are interested or have questions

A³ is just a group who wished to have a name fitting for the community. And to have fun, so if anyone new wants to rp, just join us. I’m back from holiday tomorrow myself and am very excited myself to join my friends ingame. And also to play some content with some nice people.

TBF I’m pretty sure it spawned from that blog that now whenever i see it spat out on this forum, I tell them to stop drinking the koolaid.

But its deffo a dogwhistle from there.

There’s nothing wrong with the Talking Heads anyway. Once In A Lifetime is a classic.

Also, I called Cro a rancid carcass in another thread and its true aside her being undead.

I don’t RP on her, she may as well be put to bed.

I was going to try and wrangle with survivors guilt on her but with the way SLands played out i decided it was not worth it.

But if I swapped to the characters I actually do RP on to talk on the forums, I’d be acused of “hiding” and I’m sure a lot of other people have already.

Shadowlands was so bad that she died of cringe :pensive:

But more sincerely:

Yeah, I’ve felt the same before. I’ve always stuck to Obahar for posting (and I am currently RPing him semi-regularly so it doesn’t really feel like much of a problem) but there’s been periods where he’s basically been entirely unplayed and I’ve thought “do I switch characters to what I’m currently on?” But then doing so opens up the other possibility which is lame.

Because they are not looking for ERP of their preference, they’d just rather not roleplay with homophobes who will go out of their way to make their days a little crappier. It’s why you’ll find this in roleplay in the OOC information, especially in places full of homophobes with plenty of dogwhistles. See: Stormwind.

As you have said in the second half of your sentence - because it does happen, ridiculous as it might sound; and ridiculous situations warrant ridiculous questions.

Thankfully, some are lucky enough to have roleplayed around with no issue whatsoever, but I can assure you, people feeling the need of placing ‘you are safe here’ tags weren’t born out of thin air.

As I’ve said, though, I am sure that this isn’t a community where this would be an issue whatsoever, but it does happen in Argent Dawn, sadly.
