Rat snakes. Years ago, humans introduced these reptiles into Duskwood to cull the local rat population.
Half now, half when weâre done. Weâve never gone back on a done deal. Once weâve shaken hands here - well, these vermin of yours wonât trouble you any longer.
Iâd never even been to Sunnyglade. Some town done in by the orcs way back then - whatâs it matter?
Enough faffing around. Weâre on the job. You can save your good cheer for when weâve collected. Saltzwald expects us to conduct ourselves proper.
The 1st Sunnyglade Free Company - known more popularly as the Sunnyglade Ratters - was alledgedly formed from the heroic survivors of Sunnygladeâs destruction at the hands of the orcish Horde and since has dedicated itself to building a reputation of keen professionalism and never going back on a contract.
The truth, of course, is far murkier - the work they have taken on and completed without fail has lead to them being compared to Duskwoodâs rat snakes - poisonous creatures you employ to deal with a problem that may come to trouble you in turn. Their connection to Sunnyglade and the legend of their founding appears to be a fabrication, too - there are no records in the Kingdom of Stormwind of their organisation until past the Cataclysm, and some whisper that despite ostensibly being led by their two captains, their founder and paymaster is a disgraced scion of one of Sunnygladeâs great families - fallen from favour when the corruption of the House of Nobles was put to a swift end by King Varianâs return.
If they have any agenda beyond building a reputation and cutting a tidy profit among the ashes of the Fourth War is anyoneâs guess - but it is said theyâve recently become particularly active in the capital after securing particularly lucrative contract with the Kingdom of Stormwind to deal with a number of local threats.
Hello gamers,
The Sunnyglade Ratters - or the 1st Sunnyglade Free Company as theyâd rather be known - is my take on the time-tested human-centric fantasy mercenary group. Thereâs no uniform beyond the brawlerâs tabard (while under Stormwindâs employ) or the guild tabard - though we will enforce a colour scheme / keep things more grounded than flashy.
This guild will be doing the usual good stuff that youâd expect - casual RP, DMâd events, conflicts and RP PVP campaigns are on the books.
Weâll be recruiting humans (all kinds), void / high elves (the latter only if you can represent it appropriately) and dwarves. (Very, very rare) exceptions can be made for other races but itâs unlikely that they will ever accept night elves or draenei with such wise, ancient peoples being considered too idealistic or otherwise opinionated to engage in what the ratters might call business
